Hi Everyone,
I thought I had better say hello seeing as I have been hanging around here for a fair few days and have spent all of them reading, reading and more reading about our beloved machines,I live in Staffordshire in England in the United Kingdom, here is a brief intro.
I was all set to buy a CRF450r to play about on when I saw a "cheap" CR500 for sale on ebay,it took me back to the day of owning a 2 month old 1986 beast and loving evey minute of it when I was young,it was then I realised that I NEEDED a 5Hundy again!! Roll Eyes.
A search of the forums and the education for me began.I now NEED an AFC aswell (Thanks to Alisobob for that and his brilliant write up of his conversion),here is the story so far.
I have managed to collect a rolling 2005 CRF250 chassis for the conversion and then I stumbled upon a 1996 CR500,she is a beauty, maybe not to look at but the engine is sweet, good cases and generally tidy and it goes like a wild thing...it just makes me SMILE...I just dont think that I can put the steelie down long enough to do the conversion Wink
Anyway I have waffled on enough now and I now need some answers from you guys on various problems and ideas that I have
Thanks for having me on here!
