Skips @ Carnegie Rnd. 3

Post by rpeterson »

Round 3 of the AMA Amateur series is going down next weekend Oct. 3 & 4 at Carnegie SVRA. Every class you can think of is running. I'm riding the 450 Pro for some $$$ and the stock and altered stock Verticross for the hardware. Hittin the Final round of the AMA Speedway Nationals in Auburn on Friday night before the climb. Should be a fun little road trip.

Yup, it was alot of fun! Verticross if off the chain! I had some awesome battles in the stock class for the win. I was the number one seed in the Altered and got knocked out in the 2nd round by a 15 year old kid by the name of Logan Mead. If you don't know of him, you will soon. The 450 Pro I had the tire come off the rim in the middle of the hill due to a burner move on my part. I only had screws in one side of the rim to hold the tire on. Thanks for the help Pauly with cutting the freshy in between runs. The second run I could only salvage a 9th place. All in all it's a great time up there and any of you that ever wanna try climbing or have kids that wanna climb, I suggest taking a trip to Carnegie for the Amateur weekend.

YEA! we had a blast to.alittle windy sat. night!!!! the kids had a blast 2 1st and a 4th place finish for them!!! i got a 1st in C class vet 0-700!!!! it was a dry ass hill at the top out of my 4 runs only made it 1 time with a 17.101 my last 2 started out good till i got on top and was trying to blast it to hard and just spun the tire sideways!!!! i seen a lot of good riders have problems up there to. i was looking forward to the big jump at the start but they didnt do it this time. george was saying they had to many bad e-mails about the jump being to hard or dangerous so thats why he didnt run it this time and tried to make a harder hill to climb????? whats up with that!!!! that was the best part of the whole hill blasting on to it from the air. i hope they run it next month and im glad every buddy had a good and safe time see ya in nov.
