that was something i too seriously considered. there is one guy up north australia(queensland) and he imports them monthly in shipping containers. he charges up to 4500 for air cooled ones and above 4500 for watercooled ones

this guys dreaming but you get the point. in aus, a cr500 is a myth. not many people even know they exist/riden one/or even ever seen one. they are very rare. i seen o 90 model with blown up motor and he wanted $3000.this guy will prob get over 6000- maybe 7000. i payed 6500 for my 01

Man check out the trading post, one dude has $10,000 on an 01 if I remember correctly.
There is some quite over priced CR500s on there, but like you said a lot of people know nothing about them here.
Just think what an AF will be worth to these IDIOTS.
There was an AF advertised on there about 2 years ago for $8000, I don't know what year the frame was or what type of conversion it was either.

Hey if you are having trouble finding parts that are new, just get the part numbers you are after and I will have a go.
I find all sorts of stuff just laying around in the back sheds of Honda dealers.

Is purple the standard color for the 95 CR500 shrouds?
If so I didn't know that, I have never had an 89-00 CR500 in front of me to look at.

WOW! that looks pretty
I never knew Honda got that trendy with their CR500.
You should put it back to standard.
BTW thanks for posting that.

Nice progress you're making but I gotta' ask, what's up with "The Hospice 1995 CR500R. A Second Chance At The Good Life." thread title? Hospice and a "second chance" doesn't exactly go together. Just curious.

Ok, I gotcha'.
