Checking in from the SF Bay Area

Hey everyone, I've got a 97 cr500 right now that I ride whenever I get a chance. Usual haunts are Hollister Hills and Mendocino Natl Forest (Penny Pines). My dream project is a plated aluminum frame conversion, if I only had the $$ 
Until then, my 97 is plated legitimately here in CA (before the 04 cutoff) but I haven't gotten it out on the street yet. I almost have all the parts to make it semi-street legal but its just as well, the bike is so fun I'm sure I'd be visiting with to the local LEOs soon after leaving the house!
