I know nothing about the motor, but my friend Petey Krunich, RP and Paul Stoffers know who he is has a 96 cr250, It handles well for its age and the suspension is equal to that of a cr500 and alot of the parts are interchangable between other models and years. Im assuming the 125 chassis is the same beside the frame.

you want to see something funny. go to the dunes and see a 125 with paddle try to go up some hills. reminds me of a moped in a mud bog :lmao:

Opinions on 95 CR125 ?

For a start you are starting with only one quarter of an engine ( three quarters is missing ). :? :?

my yz is a pretty awesome little bike. lot of low and mid for a 125. Got quite a few hours on it since 05 and has never let us down.

maybe its the race pace usage. We had a kid here years ago Garrett Edmiston, AA harescrambles at like 16 yrs old on an RM 125. wide open everywhere, shut off for an instant and hard on the brakes at the apex of a tight turn and wide open again. kid just hauled. I'm sure you go thru a lot of rings and jugs racing like that all the time.

it starts easy, idles smooth, sounds tight but won't rev above about 1K rpm with out bogging. also if I let it idle more than a minute or so it shuts off. the guy had it for 12 yrs, sat for last 6 or 7. he just did a top end and thinks he screwed up the power valve. maybe bullshit who knows. I took the plug off the left side and the unit snaps from 12 o:clock position to 9 o:clock position when revved but I haven't looked into the powervalve stuff on the right side yet. for 600 bucks I didn't care much. will dive into it tomorrow. I soaked the carb in solvent and cleaned all the varnish etc out and blew compressed air thru everything the other night. was jetted 168/55. stock is 175/55. I think here it will def need dif jetting, bike was last run in texas somewhere.

The air screw setting may be off making it bog, but you stole that bike for $600, Are you going to restore it?

yes, totally. I am working with Nick at throttle jockey to come up with 95 repro 1 800 collect graphics and seat cover, he just needs a loaner seat but mine is after market Guts Racing so it won't help. here is a pic of Doug Henrys 95 which is what I would like to see.
