Trans ??? - CR250E parts work in a CR500?

I remember a wide ratio(euro) CR250E, would any of the wide ratio trans parts from this model work in the CR500 cases? Anyone know?

i'm pretty sure the shaft spacing is wider on a 500, going ot have both sets loose in a few days and i'll see what all works
