Thanks for this welders need to see stuff like this.

This could be a direct like from a respiratory disease I had a few years back.

Sarcoidosis

What It Is, What It Isn't

Sarcoidosis is a relatively rare autoimmune disease that can affect the skin, lungs, heart, brain and nervous system, eyes, and other organs. Although the disease was first recognized about 100 years ago, little is known about what causes it and there is no cure. As an autoimmune disease, sarcoidosis is similar to diseases like rheumatoid arthritis and lupus in how it behaves and how it is treated.

Depending on the severity, treatment may be needed to control what sarcoidosis does. Sarcoidosis can go dormant on its own or with treatment, and its symptoms often do not recur after the initial onset. In a small percentage of cases, sarcoidosis is chronic, requiring on-going treatment, with possible occurrence in other organ systems. Chronic sarcoidosis is apparently cyclic in its activity level, with flares of symptoms and more dormant periods lasting weeks or months. No markers have been identified as indicating how sarcoidosis is going to behave in any individual or how an individual with sarcoidosis is going to respond to treatment, although a physician experienced with sarcoidosis may be able to make a "good guess" based on his or her experience. Whether he or she is willing to voice that guess is another story entirely!

Despite a century of research, little is known about sarcoidosis. Research has discovered what it is not. Among other things, it is not a cancer or tuberculosis or AIDS-related. It is not caused by pine pollen or other identifiable agents like pollution, airborne or otherwise. It is not progressive or contagious. You did not get it from someone else and you cannot give it to another person. As far as we know, nothing you did specifically caused your sarcoidosis.

Long story short after 8 days in the hospital.

Test after test, Biopsies and any other shit they could throw at me it came down to this.

At 40 years old the Dr. came in and said you are seriously sick we don't know what it is but you could be dying.

There are black spots on your lungs and were not sure what they are.

Than he proceeded to list several different types of cancer.

You know I really could do with out this right now. It was just a bad chest cold. Even joking with friends while I wasn't feeling well " yeah I think I dying.

6 months off work, 1 year recovery time than try to get back to a regular schedule. It took almost two years to even be close to the way I was.

After almost Seven years I'm still not quite the same but trying to do the things that I used to do. Like keep up with you clowns on the track and in the desert.

It was pretty scary.... He asked me to bring him some magazines to read in the hospital... I asked him ... "how many?"

He said... " just one."

Just to be happy and that's it. Go riding and camping with friends is the best medicine. The pismo trip was the perfect trip no drama everybody got along and just sit back ride when you can or want with no pressure.

I doubt I will ever see 240-250 but it's all good.

You know what they say?

If your ugly hang out with uglier friends.

I just switched the words around and used "BIG"

dude, that shiot is crazy! I buy brake cleaner like 10 cans at a time at walmart. I always spray stuff w/ it before welding to get rid of any left over oil or dirt... I wonder what would be better to use?

if you arent welding with argon gas, then it wont affect you.

like the article said, he always used crab cleaner, but didnt have any so he used brake cleaner. so i imagine carb cleaner is safe lol.

brake cleaner from walmart dont say anything about poison gas when heated. maybe its only certain brands :?: . maybe the non chlorinated doesnt apply :?:. maybe the companys have recognized the problem and updated their formula :?:

I always wondered what the difference was. they don't sell the bad stuff at walmart anymore. and the carb and brake parts cleaners list the same harmful chemicals, but the brake cleaner still seems to work better.
