So I guess I'll be removing my tuner prior to smog check. I knew this was coming a while back. I guess tuners are "illegal" if they make your motor smoke? Shit - one of the tunes available is called "140HP Smoke" Oh well, there is no smog equipment on a 7.3L Ford anyhow...so WTF?

they smog diesels here in NV. When I had my old 6.2 tested, it passed with flying colors and that thing used to BILLOW some smoke. they ran it on the dyno and it showed 40HP

that freakin sucks. i don't think the guys who like their trucks to blow a ton of smoke realize that they're just wasting fuel that generally could be used to make more power. i've seen some guys that keep the stock air filter when they stack chips just so it will pour more smoke (well, fuel) out when the take off. friggin idiots.

I think this is only going to suck for the people with newer diesels that have cats and egr, etc. for everyone else you just have to fit in the margin set for your year, engine size, etc. Like I said my "ol' smokey" as we called it passed with flying colors and that thing burned a quart of oil every 500 miles. just set back your factory tune, run the test, and set it back when you leave the smog station.

no shit, that guy come through my neighborhood, I guarantee he'll never come back 
I had a guy in my last neighborhood who kept honking his train horn to pickup his kid at 6:30am on sunday, the dude locked his doors when me and 4 other neighbors showed up to kick his ass the next week he honked with a stock horn 
I guess his devorce was so bad that the devorce papers said he was supposed to pull up and honk to pickup his kid
