6v batteries are better at deep cycling than 12v.

It senses battery voltage, and kicks the gen on automatically....
They say it "should" be installed by an Onan dealer only..... I guess cuz' theres more than two wires...
They dony know Hoons, do they???

Yeah - that sounds like it'd be the hot ticket for many owners out there. I recall many a time when the batts went dead!
With regards to wiring - no shit. I read the PDF - it seems straightforward enough. And I dunno about you, but WW had some real hokey wiring on my rig..which I've been fixing!

If that thing is made by Onan And it looks like a standard remote start button. It should be plug and play.
I have installed a few onans and anyone that has Spicolies dads tool box can do it.

Same here. I think I have a better shot at winning the lotto.
But what would happen here is the batteries would get the low signal and the POS genset wouldn't start and the remote start would kill the batteries even faster.
Frickin Fleetwood piece of SHIT

Here its not the running part it's the starting part.
Something to do with the electric choke. Starts bitchin cold, shut that mother off and good luck. Gotta go outside hold the dohickie and push the gizmo and it will suck every last drop of fuel out of the tank just don't shut it off.

It runs fine sometimes, other times it dies after a couple minutes. Most of the time it will fire right back up but sometimes it takes some fiddeling. Fukin thing died on me 6 times while trying to air up. I've checked the fuel line, changed the filters, everything short of replacing the fuel pump. Oh yah its a onan 5500 gold. I know of other people who were having the same problems i am, and theres all turned out to be bad fuel lines or clogged up filters.

OOPS!!!
Here's the issue with those things, its not the generator it's the distance from the tank to the fuel pump. If you dont have a pump close to the tank your pump on the generator will only last a short time. It's called a fuel PUMP not a fuel suck! Check into that. Those old VW style remote pumps work great if you can hook that up. Right at the tank.
