why do you want to know the OD ? the OD may vary depending what brand of rod but i cant be sure without measuring all the different brands. and i dont understand what you meen by max clearanace

, clarify yourself and maybe i can help you. anyways, if your trying to do some fancy rod swap, (like putting a honda rod in a different motor), then the OD might be relevant but if your just putting a honda 500 rod back in a honda 500 then just order the rod kit you need.
not sure what youll use this info for, but here it is anyways.
overall length: 183mm
center to center: 144mm
wrist pin: 20mm
big pin: 26mm
wrist pin bore: 25mm
big pin bore: 35mm
wrist pin bearing: 20x25x29
big pin bearing: 26x35x20

thanks for the #s i bought a 94 basket case engine in pieces the crank looked good but the rod had some what i thought were tight spots so i split it the pin looked brand new and so were the rollers, the rod looked decent to.it was harder then normal to to slide it off the crank???? so i started checking the size and is out of round .002 and seen a low spot in the journal kinda like when a u-joint starts to go bad so i put it on the rod hone and took a few tenths out of it to see if the low spot would clean my book doesnt show a size for the big end???? so i was asking anyone if they had #s for it?????? i needed clearence #s so i dont hone it to big just like piston clearance to tight BAD!!!!! to lose BAD!!!!!! if it wasnt out of round i could have figured the right clearance for it!!!
ya im big pimpin with a dremel

I got a stock honda rod that I pulled to do my STR crank. I replaced it with a new pro-x rod, NOT a Hot Rod junker. Anyway the honda rod was in good shape and I could have run it. Probagbly 2 seasons of MX on it. Motor never sucked dirt. No play up down, about .032 between the rod and thrust washers. I can measure somthing for you if you want. I was going to try to sell it but I figured who would want a used rod.

thanks!!!! thats what i came up with, and the 35mm size that 100hp honda gave me,that would be std. size! being my was out of round .002 and bump hoing it on the rod machine, the rod is no longer usable so i need to see which direction im going to go???? its to bad cause the thrust washers, rollers and pin our like brand new!!! i guess i have back up!!!!!!!!
