what did you pay for the whole bike if you dont mind me asking ? them older bikes are very hard to find in original condition. should of left that one unmolested and found a beat up one just for the motor.

The rate at which the AFs are being built there will be very little Steelie CR500s left, the good ones should be looked after.
In the future the steelie will be worth a bit because there will be stuff all of them.
The same would apply to the Alloy frame bikes as well, they won't be what they came out as, instead most left will be CR500AFs.

Hey, i'd be keen on the muffler/spark arrestor, if you still have it, and the shipping to Australia isn't ridiculous . . . . .I can't believe what you lucky buggers pay for parts over there ! ! ! ! ! . . . . My '08 AF is probably gonna come in somewhere around the $8000-$9000 AUD mark by the time it's finished, and then the rego costs start to pile up . . . . . ! (yeah, gonna register it with a quiet, choker of a muffler on it, but then ride with a stocker. . . gotta have the spark arrestor though, the bush here is like tinder at this time of year, and they're just looking for a hoon to lynch, and it aint gonna be me . . . .also, I lve in the same bush that I ride in, so I could be burnin down my own place . . . .)
