12 Hours of Glen Helen

Post by Steiner 311 »

The track was 8 miles and pretty gnarly, due to the excessive heat they kept the hillclimb sections really wet, which made for really slippery.
The Swarm boys James Rosnagle and A.J. Dean ran 251cc Expert Open Class and did more than hold their own. We weren't in it for the points so that took a lot of pressure off, but we will definitely be racing the 24hr. as well. Finish results show us as DNF in 7th place, but it happened at the very last section of the track on the last lap, we still raced every bit of 12 hours. 6th place DNF'd before us, so I'm glad to take the 6th off their hands! haha. That's only 3 behind Mike Childress. What I'm the most proud of is that we were the only team with 2 riders, everybody else was 3 and 4 riders and we still only kept about a 5 minute lap average behind Childress's and Penhalls team. Anyway had to pull the back up bike out of impound at about 10 hours. IT was HOT and DIRTY as hell, but more than a good time!

The blurry guy in the frontground is on the new BMW 450, pretty nice. His teamate holding the bike pushed the E-start before the rider even got to the bike.......I hate CHEATERS!!!!

I could've sat and watched this section all day!
