Refrigerator Clamp
Refrigerator Clamp
Refrigerator Clamp I seen another member use some kind of refrigerator clamp for his rear pipe mount just before where the silencer mount up to the frame.
I trying to find who and where he found the clamp.
The reason why just 2 hours on my new CR500 build the rear mounting point on my new P/C S/H pipe broke in half just above the welds there is about .030 of a inch between the mount and the pipe now I don’t what to remove the plating on the pipe to get it welded back up.
Plus getting in where the pipe mounts up to weld the pipe is a very tight area to tack weld it in place so it will have the correct placement I thinks a bolt on type clamp mite work better there I can adjust it as needed.

I used a wide hose clamp, or it could be called a band clamp. This is my build.

camera died, but if you really want i can take a video with the go pro
its easy, just grind the rear mount off and use the clamp as a mount
nmdesertrider gave me the idea, i used one like it except instead of a "T bolt" it was a nut and bolt, so i got a standard bolt that fit thru and used it

you still use the rubber pipe mount thingy, and you will need to weld a mount somewhere ( if its not a sh or already done)
heres the thread that told me all i need to know... really the hardest part is grinding the old mount off

the 450 will have less power and will be harder to start, and will be heavier, but to make up for it it will require more maintenance.

yup, but if its a stock 250 f subframe your gonna need to weld a mount on, my sh has the mount for the hanger 2 and 5/8" (center to center) from the subframe mount and the center of the welded mount is 7/8" tallOK, so the stock honda rubber mounted hanger is being sandwiched and the bolt will still tighten the clamp then
just buy the clamp and look at it and everything will fall into place without even thinking about it
