What Gens if any can you replace the top end without pulling the motor?
I'm doing my mounts now on the 03 crf450 and got to thinking about this.

its a tough one but once we figured out the right angle and piston location it can be done on my gen 3 125 without too much effort.

if i leave the swingarm bolt in, remore the 2 lower mounts and headstay i can install and remove the jug easily with the OEM mounts for whatever still intact. BUT the head needs to be removed first.

I've got an 04 250x conversion and can easily do the top end with the motor mounted.

Roostius, what does removing the motor mount bolts do for you? Reason I asked this is because looking at mine, it would seem impossible without lifting the front of the motor. Problem is the right front mount will not allow you to raise the front. My plan is to make a bolt on right mount.

I only need to move it 1/16 of an inch or so to get past that stock cr250 whatever bracket that i left on the frame, without it the bolts could stay in

Off topic, but I noticed the decomp valve in one of the pix.
I amd still thinking about that decompressor, Roostius the lack of $$ is holding me back...but can you post up a few pix? Wondering if a 4-stroke hot start lever can be adapted to it.

I was curious about the decomp too. What are you charging to fix up a head with one of those?
