POLY WOGS

I am happy to report to my fellow Marines and Navy brothers and sisters that the USS John C. Stennis rid itself of slimy ass POLY WOGS today and have a full compliment of Shell Backs at this time. The ceremony was fun and a good time was had by all!

Been a while since I was aboard the USS chandler DDG 996 November of 1997. I was accused of imitating a creature of the Neptunes domain - A sand crab. That is what they refer to when you were not supposed to be aboard. I think my charges were mouthing off to superiors and making more money than other trusty shellbacks. To which I got the shillelagh put to me while calling for flipper on the fo'c'sle. Ah what good memories, and a welcome to Neptunes realm to all who have passed that way.

Just say I ruined a perfectly good pair of flight deck boots from crawling around and blowing water out of the pad eyes.

Hundreds of pad eyes were blown out the other day. Very cool that you participated! I have some engine work for you guys when I get back.
