Hondaparts-direct.com is good, has a usable website with usable micro fish, that can be focused in or out for clear part number recognition. Prices are good, shipping is resonable, and they don't tell you something is available when they don't actually have it in stock. Plus they are not a middleman in the sense that they sell stock items, but need those items sent to them first, then they ship to you. I hate that.

Honda Parts direct KICKS Service Honda's ass!!!!
My dealership wanted $511 for a OEM 18" CRF250X wheel.
Service honda was less ( I forget the price) but the dumbshit on the phone kept telling me it was a 19" wheel. I kept telling him it was the "X" model.... I finally gave up and hung up. The kid sounded like he was delivering Pizza the week before.
What about Honda Parts Direct? No hassle website, super EZ to look up and order.... The price? $370! Not great, but way cheaper than a Talon / Excel combo, and the quality is 100 times better than than Warp 9 shit that looks like it came on one of those Chineese knock off bikes for about the same money as OEM!
HPD rules ! Thanks Terence!

After comparing some prices from another website I order my OEM parts from, it looks like these guys will really get my business now! There was about a 20% difference from where I get my stuff from.

I ordered some OEM plastic from them this morning. They were actually a little cheaper than Service Honda, not much really but I thought I'd give them a try. Very nice guy I talked with.
I checked HPD tonight and the prices are now higher than SH (timing is everything).
Anyway, there's a big difference, especially on engine parts, between HPD and SH. For example, a crank at HPD is $320.45, at SH it's $47.03 less at $273.42.
On my budget, I gotta go with whoever is less.

So what about the good news Bob?
One of my radiator hose clamps broke. My Stealership wanted $10 for the damn thing and still had to order it. HPD wanted $4 and it was here in three days. Good stuff!

Came across a kid local here in Omaha on eBay who had a broke open brake system. Convienced him to pull the parts and meet local for a steal, turned out the bolts and washers were missing but everything else was in great shape; even new pads

The kid had a bad ass 01 XR650R supermoto, looked like a blast! Ramble, ramble....
To make it short, just threw HPD another $43.00 for the brake line bolts and washers and a pair of new stock reeds; thats $399.21 since June.
Hope your working out a discount, kick back, even a sticker for us Bob

I would have just went to Pep Boys and got a SS one for $0.05...

I don't have a Pep Boys. But I've gotten "SS" goodies form Lowes or Home Depot for other projects. I'd sure like to know what kind of sorry ass stainless they use.
I work hard for my money. Original Honda parts will do just fine.
