sand tire choices
Any body got some feedback on running a 3 rib front in the sand? Also, I have a 12 paddle skat trak tire. I think thet'll be fine cause last year I ran a 10 paddle and it had no problem for you.

When i had mine on the 426 it was awesome after i got used to it. Currently running the m1a from IRC the big porcupine lookin one. It does really good as well. A forewarning.. Where the front tire is turned the bike will go.. If you are used to a little push on the front end when cornering or wheeling or such you will be unpleasently surprised when it pitches you over the bars lol.

sand tires
Well, I took the '98 out to my local sand pile before heading to Oregon next weekend. The 12 paddle is no problem, but the front tire took some getting used to. What a difference from a knobby! You better have the wheel pointed straight when landing cause it grabs and shoots you where it's pointing. I found when cornering hard or arcing a dune it's pretty sweet though. Have to be way more precise with the bars, a knobby you can ride a lot sloppier and it won't respond half as quick.

rib
Yeah, i'm gonna bring a knobby in case this thing kills me. It's supposed to piss rain all weekend there so then it'll be hard on top. Sometimes makes for wierd conditions, if it's wet on top and dry underneath.
