Why have people gotten so spineless?

So today AP broke a story about how ineffective the prisons are and how much money is wasted incarcerating people that come out worse than they go in. Got my old man fired the fuck up. Especially the part about judges getting paid off for sending juveniles to detention centers by the owner of the center. Apparently some detention centers are privately owned? Anyhow he goes on to say that if a judge had ever done that to his kids he wouldn't kill them he would just break their legs and let them learn a lesson! A little bit shocking at first take, but I think he is right. When did people get so spineless that they are afraid to take out some justice on these "officials"? That goes for a lot of the dipshit special interest groups like sierra club and humane society and the rest of the ilk. They think they can push every one around inside a court room. In person they are the kids that we picked on when we were in school. A little mobster style justice in the right places would do this country more good than could be imagined.

It happened around the time that it became more profitable to litigate your way to wealth, than to be a productive member of society, start a business, work hard, pay taxes, and make your own way in life.

People became so sue conscious that we sit on our hands instead of kicking ass when it is clearly called for.

I agree. Why else would some pencil neck get in my face on occasion. They are looking for a lawsuit is the answer. I'm sure they see me as the guy that stuffed them in a locker or played too rough in PE back in their school days. Here in Portland if you look cross-eyed at someone you get arrested for assault and sued. Take my word for it.

Wouldn't that be grounds for a personal visit? If they own any real estate anywhere you can hunt them down so easy its ridiculous. Judges and DA's really like it when you call the day before to their home to make sure your case is tomorrow
