Hey all. I don't have a bike currently, but will be getting one soon. I had a bad experience on CR500riders.com. I am interested in researching and getting a cr500 any year. I posted on there last weekend and I got tons of hate posts because I didn't have CR500. Then I found this site and I hope it's not like the other. I do have a 2007 Honda Rancher and I hope to get a bike real soon. I also want to know if this site is just for CR500s, Hondas or all bikes.
I hope I am welcome.

Welcome aboard.
This site won't kick you off for not owning a 500.

Naaa.... its pretty much like this....
1. You need to own one, or want want one pretty bad.
2. No dick heads! Brit was "Grand-Fathered In" before this rule went it effect.... sorry.
3. Listen to your elders, no one likes smart alec "Know-it All's"
4. If your wife is hot, post up some photos..... Even if she's just ok... Let us be the judge and post em' anyways.
5. You have to ride, Hellbear was Grand-Fathered in too.....
6. You gotta' take a jab to the ribs as well as you give one.
Other than that, Welcome to the Site.........
You should start looking for anything 95' and later.
Where do you live?

Right now I'm broke. I want a begining of production to end of production. I live 45min NE of State College(Penn State University). I will obey the site rules. Also I'm 16, no job yet. Looking for one soon. When I get one I hope to make it a motard(trails are too tight for my 420). I am trying to get banned at the non-banned site by saying "crappity smack" all the time(I posted some in "site mission").
Also is there a bannedbannedcr500riders.com???

New to bikes? 16 years old? Want to start with a CR500?
Sounds like a VERY bad plan to me unless you are going to ride the dunes.
But hey, it's your life.
Welcome aboard!

whats wrong with 16 ??? its called throttle control...... use it !!
my 12yr old rides my 500.....sure he started on a cr85 a year ago, but a 500 is still a monster step up from a cr85.....especially if your 12.

Welcome aboard.
I had (have) a bike in pieces and for that fact I got tossed from the other site also....so I know how you feel. There's a certain group that judge everyone, and if you don't bow down and worship at their feet, you never get truly accepted. I wouldn't....so I didn't.
This is a better place anyway, so I'm glad it happened. I've always believed that a true friend will stand up for you/with you.
I've found many here....none there.
Good luck on your search. Just be careful, it'll easily tear you a new a-hole.

Be careful of what you dream of, it just might come true, maybee start with a 2 stroke 125 if you havent riden before, 2000 plus CR 125 would be a good bike to start on...when buying you really need to take someone with you who can check over the bike, there are so many people selling bikes that will rip you off, and if you dont know what to look for the seller will know straight away........I hate those bike snobs too, Fuck em, riding to me represents a slice of freedom, you dont have to hang with the idiots...

Shit, you want a CR500 get one regardless of your age.
16 years old I bought a CR250RZ 1979, never ridden a motocross bike before and only started on a TS 185 Suzuki farm bike 3 weeks earlier.
Where there is a WILL, there is definitely a way.
GO FOR IT YOU ONLY DIE ONCE then it dosen't hurt any more.

Yep.
I was 15......went from a wore-out XL100 to a brand new XL500. I loved the no-effort wheelies. I was careful, so no issues to report.
I look back now and realize what a freakin turd it was.
Just have to stay within one's limits.

WHEN IN DOUBT, GO FLAT OUT.
16 CR250RZ 1979
16 years 10 months CR250RC 1982
17 years 7 months CR500RE 1984 and never looked back until I sell them and then I think WTF did I do that for.
Then I have to start all over again.
