Not true, at least for me this time.
Ordered some engine and suspension parts 2/13/09, my card was charged immediately.
My order was at the review state the whole time. I sent two unanswered
emails before calling after a month, they said the order was shipped, but according to the
Usps shipping information I received later that could have not been true.

I didn't get any email until the order shipped today. The parts I ordered probably took a little longer to get (internal fork parts). I was just concerned because I didn't hear anything for a week and the status on the web site never changed. Per the email, the parts are supposed to be here Thursday (have UPS tracking number). Normally, I wouldn't be concerned; but, I have the forks at a local shop and they were asking where the parts are.

I'm trying to do complete maintenance on 4 bikes and thought I'd throw the local shop a bone to save some time on one of them. Turns out, one of forks on a used CR500 I bought was modified by someone who didn't locktite the screw that holds the washer stack togetther. It came apart and trashed the fork internals.

Parts made it today as expected. Will continue using these guys until they shutdown or I don't need parts anymore. Image

I'm still waiting on one engine bearing. I ordered like $650 in parts from them, over 40 part numbers and multiples of a lot of them. they only sent one main bearing, not 2. I called and talked to craig, he said he'd send one out asap, but its been like a week and a half, so I'm gonna give him a little ring tomorrow just to see if there were any issues. hopefully ups will have it for me tomorrow and I won't have to call.

WooHoo!!! Just got email saying parts would arrive Monday. It was kind of strange because it was sent at request of yamaha parts direct. I didn't know there was such a thing. Bob, I haven't hit you up for the discount yet because I figured I'd wait until I was sure the business was still up and going. Now I'm wondering if you can find out if the discount will also apply at yamaha parts direct? I got 2 06 yzs that I take care of also.

I ordered from YPD like over a year ago, apparently there was an issue w/ yamaha and they changed it to metricparts-direct. don't know if its still up.
I was just on hold for a freaken half an hour and had top leave a message about that bearing. I'm gonna be pissed if I had to get ot from thumpertalk just to get my bike going!

Their phone support sucks some time, then other times, Craig picks up right away. Who knows, but I get the feeling it's a pretty small operation and that helps with the pricing we get.

Sucks for you though. I was hoping for a Gen3 dannygraves looping out story or something to that effect.

Don't mean to harp on this but I checked the price of one of the parts at SH and their price was $32 cheaper without a discount.

they raised their prices, the bearing I am missing was $22.07 when I ordered, now its $24.91 the old prices were still comparable to SH. SH and HPD were within $5 on my over $600 order, but now that the prices have gone up SH is definitly cheaper.
I just got off the phone w/ them and they are trying to tell me that main bearing was on back order and will get there friday, then they will ship it out... sounds like BS to me and sounds like they just forgot to order it the first time. Thats the same bearing used in 250s and I think 125s too, there is now way that bearing was on back order. sucks because I wanted to get my bike together this weekend ( 4 day weekend for me) so I could actually ride some before it gets too hot, now that idea is fucked.

just checked SH, the new part finder only shows retail cost, but I manually entered the part number for that bearing and the cost from SH in the old oem part finder was $23.66

I just checked even more, a case half is $42 cheaper from SH than HPD w/ the discount and a crank a full $50 cheaper from SH.

just checked my order from 3/3/09 and my new crank was $310.88 from HPD and is currently $298.50 from SH and the current discounted price from HPD is $348.19

So when are you to receive the bearing from SH that HPD has backordered?

HPD said they are shipping it out on friday. if I don't have it by tuesday afternoon, maybe wednesday at the latest, I'm going to have MFDB order one from his work so I can build my bike and I will raise a stink like they've never seen before :x
