Have a 2007 CRF450R with alot of shit done to it. What besides the wheels can be fitted to my 02 CR250 chassis before I sell it?

I know the wheels will cross over.

Triple clamps and forks?
Shock?
Anything?

i don't know about swingarm but that would be my biggest interest...the 2007 450 swingarm is a definate upgrade to the gen 3 250...i'm not sure if it would work but it would be easy to try...

I have tried all sorts of shit with different parts and sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't...your best bet is to just try out what you want...it's not hard to put a bike back together...good luck homie...

...I will try out a couple swaps. More than just having parts that interchange, they need to work well together too. Don't want some frankenstien where the rake and trail get all fff'd up and the wheelbase is incorrect.........so forth. Maybe better to just sell the 450 as it sits and buy the shit I need for the AF.......................

Or just use the 450 for your conversion. :P

the triple clamps , forks and shock will all fit on you gen3, although you would probably need to revalve them for the 5 hundie.
im running stock 450 suspension on my gen3 and its quite harsh .

......revalving for the bike? Fill me in a little. I have the 450 suspension set up for me, it's perfect. WHy would the conversion to a 500 require more revalving?

Thanks!

Thanks!
because the 500af is a lighter bike... im running the compression clickers on mine all the way out and its still too stiff with the stock 450 stuff.
I also have a 07 crf 450 and its set up with stiffer springs than the 500 and its sweet, so the conclusion i came to was the 500 engine must be a shit load lighter than the 450f.

I don't think the engine will be much lighter??? I am sure other people know the weights but I would guess 10% difference.

The 250X engine I removed from my chassis weighed a TON.......

Well, if the 500 motor is 10-15 lbs lighter, the 10-15 bs I have gained since I had my suspension done will make up for it. Now I don't have to go on a diet! :D

you need to change the springs before you bother to revalve.

We did a engine to engine comparison with an 06 450f and the 500 was 8 pounds lighter.
