hey everyone, looking for a CR250 aluminum frame 97-99, if any one knows how to weld and make it so it will accept a CR500 engine, and im also looking for a 91-01 CR500R motor complete in good running order plus the wiring, used to own a 91 CR500 but had to sell it cause i needed cash, but spring is now coming and i want to make my own 500, anyone has ideas for me it would be appreciated cause i cant afford the service honda prices that they want for the used bikes, and im also from Alberta Canada, if that helps any?!?,

I think I emailed you a week or so ago about a 250 motor that I was looking to sell...... No?

Anyway, I have seen lots of gen 1 250 frames going for CHEAP on ebay lately.

I bought an entire bike part by part from the US, from ebay, and up to Canada. I now have everything to build another Gen 1 250 conversion except for a set of forks, and front brakes.

I would recommend watching ebay for the bike parts, and rebuild which ever motor you can get for cheapest.

I might be selling one of my conversions this summer, but I only just finished building the first one today, so I'm not looking to part with anything yet.

I live in southern Saskatchewan, btw.

Luke - read dannygraves Gen1 build in the AF section, or any of the other Gen1 builds. They are easy to do and you are only adding 2 front mounts so welding should be simple. There is also build directions available that ShanMan wrote that makes it simple to build this bike yourself and ShanMan has the mounts and headstay for the build. Good luck and welcome to the site.

hey all, is there any difference other then the engine size of a CR125 to a CR250 in 97-99?? now where a decent 99CR125 but i dont know if its the same for a 250, cause id just rip it out and put a 500 in,?? any changes???
