Hi All,
I have an idea and question about reducing some of the engine vibration from reaching the frame.
If the mounts for the motor had an polyurthene sleeve, or rubber grommets like the stock handlebar mounts, .....could most, or some, of the engine vibration be reduced from reaching the frame?

I think the urethene sleeve idea is better since the rubber would get torn up pretty quick, but the urethene sleeve could be a real tight fit.

I've had more than two dozen CR500's and have never had one vibrate enough to really bother me that much. I don't remember any of the works bikes of the 80's having nothing more than really smooth running engines. Maybe look into a balanced crank?

The way to stop the vibes is to SOLIDLY mount the engine, pipe, and all other attachments to create 1 large , solid mass.

A rubber mounted CR500 motor would be a disaster.
