Hey don't knock on the kid. Before I ever had a bike, all I could do was listen to my friend talk about power band and how it kicked in on his kx80. That's probably what the kid is basing his info on.... someone else's words.
In hind sight my friend sounded like a douche now that I have experience with bikes.

I have a friend that I ride with fairly often that thinks it is an additional part that does that. He rode my bike and said it had power all over because it was to old to have had a powerband. I have tried explaining the meaning of the word but he doesn't understand. He has the powervalve on newer bikes and Powerband confused. I just laugh and go on because he has thought this for years.
