I'm looking at a 72 Cutlass, non ac car. I know I could just get all the original components, but has anyone ever used one of the aftermarket under dash units? Would it it still use the stock pulley setup? Here's a link to the car. Yes, I know it's purple.

Looking at these tomorrow as well:

Vintage air is a clean way of doing this. They offer real tech support too, which is hard to find these days.

Love the old cutlass'.
I know of an original owner '69 442 W30 4 speed.
I'm waiting for him to die because the owners son doesn't like cars, and he doesn't want to sell it.
Yah, I'm from Saskatchetoon!

Exactly what I was going to say. The 352 in that Galaxy is sure to make that car fly.

I had a 63 500XL with the 390, factory air, bucket seats, center console in a four door.
Still to this day I have never seen another like that, needless to say I'm :bash: for letting that one go.

Hey Iggy...last year on Power Tour I met a fella from Texas that did the long haul with a 406 tri power 4 speed black Galaxie. Good dude and a way bitchin' car.

Being 18-19 mine was bone stock. Paint still shined almost like the 65 pictured. Straight body til I crunched the right front doing power slides in Black Star Canyon, dirt road. Took four of us to pull the bumper out far enough to drive home. I really didn't know what I had until years later. :x Only payed $325 in 1975.

Ok, I ended up getting this:
1972 Gran Torino, beautiful shape, 250ci straight 6, 3 on the tree, 147k original miles, runs perfect. Over the next few weekends it will be getting a worked 302 with a 5 speed from a 92 GT mustang. (Or a nice 351 if I can get my buddy to part with it)

Nice Torino! I was going to say that you should add the Starsky n' Hutch stripe, but I'm to late :D . Here is a car for me if I hadn't bought the 300.

The Monte is in real nice shape and has the rare Halo vinyl roof that looks bitchin'. Even has a black interior! Arghhh I want this car! :bash:. The steering wheel isn't even cracked yet.

I've got a new BOSS block in inventory, that thing is far superior to the old ones. I use them for LateModel stock car classes. Find one and build it big!

I will when cash allows, I just happen to have the 302 from when a wrecked Mustang a few years back. So, basically it's a free install other then mounts and springs. That straight 6 has a surprising amount of torque though.

We took it to the Saturday night cruise in Kissimmee last night. With the amount of Chevelles, Mustangs, etc. there, it was really amazing how much attention this car drew. During the actual cruise I heard several people yell out "where's Hutch!" I had one happy little boy, it was nice being on the other side of the fence for the show.
