swingarm questions

My 87 is in the process of being revived. The swingarm is trashed. It's still useable but looks like hell. The caliper and bracket however are trashed. I have been looking around and I can get a newer swingarm, caliper, and bracket for the same price as a new caliper assembly if it's even still avalible. My question is will a newer swingarm fit in place of the old? And will my 87 shock still work? I do believe that the rim and caliper should on a 89-91. After 91 didn't they go to a 19' rim? Any and all help is always appreciated.

I have no idea if the swingarm will interchange, but I know any rear wheel from 87-up will work, they ran an 18" rear until the end of production in 01.
