G'day. Nother Aussie up to the plate.

Post by Husk72 »

Another Aussie signing up, saying g'day to all the guys and ladies on this forum. In Queensland at this present time, where its hot and humid. I'm more than doing my share of drinking to help keep the breweries cashed up. Decided I just had to join this forum, you guys rock, love the topics, the layout ,the views.
My rides: 1988 Cr500, 1984 IT490, DT250A and a 1984 TS250. In the works are Husky 1972 CR125 and 1981 XL250. Bit of a mixed breed, grew up with most of these and never owned one till I started collecting bout 1994.
Well thats my two cents worth, hope to catch up with you guys on the forum in the future. Cheers !

Way too fast for drum brakes.

Now my 17 year old son thinks he's man enough to climb on the old mans vintage race bike. Just wait till the thing hits the power band.

Hey guys, thanks for the welcome. Hoofarted; mate love that pic.
Guys, am waiting on tips from a mate on how to get pics of my bikes onto my hard drive. As soon as thats a goer, I'll then post them in the appropiate forum for all to look at.
Solid, Bro: I rememeber first time I hopped on the back of mate of mines 360 Husky I was 15 at the time. The sound, the vibrations, the smell, all the things that make the 2 strokes so addictive, reached out and bang that was it, years later and it's still in my system. That powerband near tossed me off the back. I didn't know those things had brakes, my mate just changed gears up 'n'down for whatever was needed to slow down or speed up. I held on with helmetless horror, feeling it was his desire to kill me. It was if the devil and not his mate was on the back of his bike. My legs were dangling off the back, I was screaming, crying and, hanging on for all it was worth. Mind you, after that day, I was hooked on big bikes with ball busting power!
Shaggy, hahaha. Jealousy will get you no-where.
AussieCr500AF and Shaggy. You guys know any decent tracks, bike parks, to ride in NSW/Qld? Been some tracks close down here and riding in the National Parks is outlawed, riding fire trails is like taking a huge risk with safety as well as the cops. Any tips much appreciated. Cheers people!
