Tires that won't go flat

Here is a tire I've never seen before, looks weak by design, but it is holding up the car.

thats a Tweel.. been around since the late 90s... Michelin makes/made it...

its an exercise on a non-pneumatic car tire. production versions have sidewalls... this proof of concept model does not.

That is an interesting concept. A little while ago a friend of mine sent me a couple pics and I posted them on the other forum. Never got around to doing it here. One reply was " old news" :roll: .

Good call. Likely vulcanized into some sort of machined groove to help it stay on the rim.
