opinion on wheels for the stealth

so, my stock 17x8.5 wheels are shit, been rattle canned and hammered on for 15years and all 4 tires are FUBAR. I started shopping for just tires and a set of yokahama s drives in 245/45zr17 will end up around $650 still on my shitty stock wheels, so I started thinking I could maybe find some wheels and tires as a used combe that would work. the cool thing is the car uses a 5x4.5 lug (same as EVERYTHING, mustangs, 350z, evo, sti, etc. etc.)
so I found a couple locally and I'm racking my brain.
I got this guy down to $650, but he won't go any lower, has a little curb rash and 2 tires are like %30 the others like %80, but they are the really nice Generals. 245/35zr19

then these will bolt right up, but the offset is a little lower, so they will poke out about 1/2" and the tires are cheap-o, but tis all brand new and 245/40zr18 front and 275/35zr18 rear. I like that they are staggered and the 10" and different offset of the rear will make the rears poke out 14mm further than the front w/ the 275 meats, I think it will look mean as fuck.
just called the dude and his wife picked up, they are still available, but the guy will call me back.

then again, I could always repaint my stock wheels and buy the sick-ass yokahamas... I'm so torn...

that would normally be my 1st choice, but at ~$50ea to powdercoat the wheels and over $600 on tires w/o mount and balance, I could probably do #2 and sell off my stockers... I'm still torn though, the yokos on my stock wheels will handle better then the saleen replicas w/ the cheapo tires...
