Is anybody interested in this race?
It is supposed to be on the Verus channel Sunday at like 12:30 and 3:30.
Robby Gordon has two Hummers running again this year. It is being held in Argentia and Chili this year.

In order to be the Dakar Rally shouldn't the event end in Dakar?

At least South America is somewhat more stable than Africa.

I've been lucky to catch it (on TV) for the last many years. Amazing shit. They had a segment last year on the female riders....Some looked really nice, others looked as if they could throw a man down and give a good thrashing.

I heard about it going to SA.
There was a big truck that strayed off track and hit a land mine a few years ago. No big loss if it'd been a truck full of locals.

Getting away from BFE might be safer for the ones on the scooters anyway. Who was it that died last year?

I've been watching for Speed to cover the race, but as usual, those pussies only like to cover NASCAR (FAGCAR).
Hopefully the Outdoor Network will give us the scoop again.

What's the Verus channel???

Bummer about Pascal Terry

Special press release by the organization

It is with great sadness that the organization has been informed that rider Pascal Terry (192), 49 years old, has been found dead in the night of January 6th to 7th at 2:10 AM.
The biker was in a very hard-to-reach area in the middle of very dense bush-like vegetation 15m from his bike. He had taken his helmet off and had sought shade; he had food and water by him.
The Las Pampas Province police and authorities will now carry out the necessary legal investigation in order to determine the causes of the biker’s death.

They shortened this stage a bunch and did not run the trucks, just bikes, quads and cars. Something happened to Street as he is now 51 min behind Coma and he received a 3 min penalty.

I have only made it to stage 4 on my tivo. Rip to the fallen rider. Did he crash or have some sort of medical problem?
