so in the fall I got a Viosport 3 cam that records to a DV tape in a Sony Handycam, used it for a cat-hunt and one shameful ride on a 250. Its a good setup, you have to hold the handycam in a backpack, and to start it its best to have a buddy do it. It took a hell of a nice video.

At the PRI I bought a GoPro Motorsports Hero Wide camera. Tried it for the first time on friday, Its slick as hell to use. I set it to record and threw it on the dash of the truck to cruize home from the shop. Its a snowy mess here, but the camera did a dammn nice job of showing contrast between the sky and ground, unlike the handycam.
It takes a 2gb sd card and records an hour of video, theres a software upgrade coming to accept a 4gb card and do 2 hours, which is also the battery life. It has a mit-full of mounts with it and specialized ones available aswell. I like it cuz i can put it in the truck with a thumbscrew, then strait to the bike or rifle just as easy, and not tote a bag of cables. And theres no having to convert files it spits them out as avi already!
If your in the market for a cam its a dammn good one. I gave the handycam to my sis, but kept the viosport for now

How much was the GoPro? I'm looking for something decent to mount inside the kart.

Thats pretty hard to beat... had I seen their booth I might have picked one up. Thats the trouble with working those deals, theres never enough time to see everything you want to see. I'll have to look them up though.

I thought about getting one of those. I might get the regular GoPro because the wide version has a fish-eye lens that distorts the sides of the video. I don't like the way it looks.
