This was a fun ride, I left my house in Carlsbad at 5:30 in the morning, it was dark, cold and raining, I could have driven my truck, but don't like to leave it at the boarder, so I rode my mighty XR650L. Click on the link to see the rest.

you posted that ride in December, but the thread is dated LAST year!! You guys only ride once a year?

I ride that area all the time, when I dont have a whole week to ride! Some good ridding fo shure, but looks like you missed some great hill climbs. Their is a sexion through the mountians before you get to a huge lake bed that is totally epic! Pack the sleeping bage and tent a stay put there ss long as you can find gas but dont take the cr cuz them you have to bring oil just take the 650brp

Let me know if you want to find the sick stuff down there
