Running horrible.....

I rolled out for a ride on thusday with a buddy of mine to some small dunes here in barstow, we got the truck all loaded up and rolled out. He had never been to this place and was looking forward to some airtime in his truck and just general tomfoolery.

Anyway we got to the spot and aired down his tires, I got suited up and pulled my bike off his truck, she fired first kick.

The minute I hit the gas bwaaaaahhhhhhh bang pop.... bwahhhhh bang pop (same thing it did in pismo) no amount of playing with the airscrew helped in the slightest, after 15 mins of fiddling I gave up and threw it back in the truck, he was kinda miffed as now he couldnt haul ass in the dunes as my bike was bouncing around in the back.

I got it home and pulled the carb (even funner on an AF  ), everything inside was spotless, I stripped it down all the way, airscrew out choke out etc. Drenched it in carb cleaner and blew out all the passages with compressed air, put it back together.

After 30 or so kicks I gave up (I disconected the kill switch 5 kicks in) this thing just would not fire, I gave it 15 mins and went and had a beer. Gave it another 20 kicks and nothing

Went to NAPA and got 2 new shortie plugs ($21 :x ) slapped one in last night no wait... slapped is an understatement I had to pull the tank to get at the plug

She fired first kick and ran sweet, all of the bogging is gone and it seems to run perfect, we are gonna do dunes II tomorrow after 4 pm so we'll see.

My take on this is..... I have never once fould a plug on a CR, I always used to run cheap ole BR8ES NGKs on this AF I have to run the shorter plug due to gas tank clearence issues, the only plugs NAPA could get me are the irridium version of the shortes. I blame the crappy $10 plug that seems to foul out really easy personally.

Was it fouled or did it go away? I've had ones that look fine but just go bad.

It was carbon fouled BUT Ive had BR8ES that looked way worst and still ran perfect. The plug out of the bike fired fine but when under load I dont think it was doing so good

I have been trying to get the bike dailed in lately tho and the plug has had a hammering because of it.
