One pan breakfast!

Post by Mama »

This is good for camping! I cook it on the campfire.

1lb. log sausage like Jimmy Dean or something
2C potatoes o'brien
1 dozen eggs

Fry sausage till done, DO NOT DRAIN GREASE!
Add potatoes and fry till brown and yummy!
Add eggs and scramble.
Season to taste.

I always get one of those ready made loaves of garlic bread from the bakery and just set it near the fire while I make the rest. Don't forget to turn the bread once in a while!
I don't know how mant normal sized people it will feed. It feeds me, my husband (JBaze) and our 2 kids. It makes alot! :)
A CR500 is a thing of beauty whatever the frame is made of, but me, I'd rather ride a hoon!

Brit and I had breakfast the other day...

At Dennys they no longer offer the "Double Chicken Fried Steak" breakfast.. they do offer the dinner tho...

so, I had the dinner, subbed in eggs and hash browns... it was so good, I ordered a 2nd complete dinner.. yum!
Then , I ate what my 10 year old left on the plate...

Then, when we got to the Drags, I ate 2 hot dogs and a pretzel..

Brit looked at me like I was insane.....

your breakfast sounds Gooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooood!

Jason usually has one of the "slams" and a stack of pancakes, side of bacon, side of sausage, and side of eggs. Then he finishes everyone elses plates too! I just don't know how he does it!
I feel bad for him cause he's trying to get fit for the Desert100 in April so he just about starving himself.

I'm a little partial to big guys (my teenage crush was John Goodman) so I don't really help with the whole loose weight thing. Whatever make him happy tho, as long as he doesn't wind up a stick figure! :)

Black pudding is a thing of beauty!

1lt (1¾ pints) Blood (Pig, Lamb or Goose)
340g (12oz) Shredded Suet
300ml (½ pint) Milk
50g (2oz) Oatmeal
3 Medium Onions, chopped
1 tbsp Salt
½ tsp Mixed Herbs
½ tsp Cayenne Pepper
Pinch Nutmeg

Pre-heat oven to 160°C: 300°F: Gas 2.
Mix all of the ingredients together thoroughly, making sure that the seasonings are evenly distributed.
Next fill the large sausage cases, see: Sausage Making Basics for advice on doing so.
Place into an ovenproof dish with a cover, standing in a larger dish half filled with water.
Bake for 1½ hours.
Allow to cool.
Fry with bacon and eggs for breakfast or use as a part of a Mixed Grill.

the last time i had black pudding was at a lovely ladies flat in dublin. (we met at a pub called the bearded lemon!)

I was super into it, until my buddy showed up and started eating.

he looks at me and says

"dude, its like were eating scabs!"

that killed it for me.

UUgh, no way is that black pudding any good for ya ! Come to think of it everything except the egg was crook on that plate. Good luck with making that thing Mama.
Oi, I thought you Poms were into Kippers for breaky. Or is that reserved for the stiff upper lips, like cucumber sandwiches, and strawberries?
