The Sand Box

Post by JBaze »

First ride out in the sand box with the AF. I actually hate the sand but hey it's riding and it's all I got except for the little field next to us. Any way the bike worked great, jetted perfect running 927 @ 40:1. Again, my engine is a 1990 model and I find myself in 4th or 5th most all of the time. I think I will search for a later model tranny. The bike is suprisingly stable at high speed and no headshake. I was worried about over heating, but had no problems at all. Put about 3 gallons of gas through the thing in 1 1/2 hours!! Holy shit, gonna have to find a larger tank for sure. I am planning on getting into shape(me and the bike), and racing a premeir local race up here call the Stump Jumper 100 this spring but will definatly have to increase the range. Pictures suck cause we were parked in a hole, and I didn't want to fly around through there as to piss off the other people. But at least I finally got out. Almost theraputic!

Yeah. It's getting smaller. But it's ok riding still. Lot's of those UTV's around, kind of scary!

:D No doubt! If you took him, Jay, Bob and half the other folks here and put them all on 80's, it would look like one of the Shriners parades!

Just got back from another little trip to the sand box here, Got about 10 or so miles from the truck in a real deep whooped out section and was taking 2 a at a time then the bike fell into a deep one and bottomed out I heard the rear tire hit some thing (rear fender) So I stopped up on the flat to rest and looked at the tire, it's flat as a pancake, (probably why it was hooking well enough to double the whoops with my fat ass on it). So rode the ten or so miles back to the truck filled the tire/rim with sand and came home. Fun Fun Fun!

Thanks man. I just get bored in the sand. My knees aren't the greatest so big air is out. But I like to power line roads and good singal track. The sand is ok because it's 5 minutes from my house, But I'm more of a dirt guy! I was thinking of doing another conversion, but gotta wait for the funds to get a little bigger!
