Sunfair T-Day HoonFEST 2008

Post by AlisoBob »

What a great ride!!!

Food was off the hook.... Crab, Tri-Tip, Pork, Hoon Taters, Turkey every way imaginable ( Smoked, Deep Fried, Grilled, BBQ... yum!) all the fixings, pies out the ass.....

Jay, with one of his smoked birds...

Took the boys out shooting... Heres Jack with a .38 special

Fachers boy Kyle, with two 9mm's....

Jacks favorite was the 9mm carbine too. He shot Mike's 12Ga, ......Ha-WOONGA!

Scared him..... a little.

Riding was great. A overnight rain shower made the dirt nice and tacky. The boys spent about 2 tanks of gas jumping....

"Big James" Lewis.... airing things out.

I do allot of Little League, and the mound is 14 paces from the plate( 47') James was jumping 14 paces.

Pookie made some new friends...

I made 1 of the big boy rides, ankle felt ok, not great, but rideable...

We had tons of fireworks, riding, food, everything was great... The only casualties was had all weekend was 1 XR400 ( with no oil in it), and one of Jays nice chairs....
Image

My Duramax got 12.5 mpg towing my Toybox, full up with bikes, quads, and gear.... 255 miles x 20.5 gal @ 70mph.... SWEET!

I'll let others fill in all the other details....

GREAT TRIP!

My CR500 was awesome till Saturday night Zephaniah took it out for a high speed run on the lake bed. We think it sucked a reed. A tractor showed up and we made a jump on Saturday and I had to use the XR680R to jump it. I have more pictures of the great time we had.....I'll do a write up when i get home from work and load up the other pictures.

I love tannerite! :D The trick is to but it in some sort of restrictive enclosure... a 55 gallon drum is excellent and also turns into a flat sheet afterwards!

We missed gettiing the video of the big book shelf that turned into splinters. We had a bang of a time. Some kids got burnt at night....holes burnt into Mikes awening. Fire and mayham once the sun went down. To much going on and no one was on the camara.

I hope its just the angle of the camera, but that looked pretty close to the trees. (CA Wildfires)

why not on the lake bed?

looks like fun though.

tannerite explosions create a shock wave, not a big fireball like traditional explosives, thus no fire risk.
