news just said it was $20,000 round trip for EACH one of them 3 fuckwads to fly to that congress meeting so they could cry poverty. $800 for first class on a regular airline. what a bunch of pukes.

I haven't flown on the Ford corporate jet before, but those numbers are just completely wrong. It's $2100/hr to fly the Ford plane, it seats 16 people. Mulaly wasn't flying alone by any means, even if the jet was half full it still wasn't extremely cost prohibitive. Do you honestly think a bunch of multmillion dollar executives have the free time to sit in an airport for 2 hours each time they have to fly somewhere? Their days are planned to the minute.

I don't blame them for not wanting to give it up. Having multiple jets is a bit excessive, at least GM just put a couple of theirs up for sale.

Detroit is going to turn into the next Gary, Indiana if GM goes under. Ford might be okay, but I have no hope at all for Chrysler....
