We tried that last year at Glamis, it was like a mini Nagasaki nightmare.

mmmm good times.. a friend of mine machined out a special little tool for poking the perfect sized hole in sobe caps.. just screw the lid on the bottle and put the tool on top and it makes the perfect hole.. set in fire and watch the show.
They are dangerous and yes we have had a few nightmares with them.. with them literally exploding and sending coals and embers everywhere but 98% of the time they go off without a hitch definatley good times

Out of 10 Ive done only 3 have gone off properly, the size of the hole is key and I can never remember how big or small to make it
The one that backfired at glamis was epic, it spread a 6ft base fire out to a 300ft radius

We have had about a 95% success rate but after that 2007 Glamis trip we pull back the chairs and stand WAY back. That was a fun night though...
