Anybody think I'm crazy?

I'm looking into building my own carburator this winter for my 500. Right now its an entertaining thought, and really, doesn't look like it would be too hard. I'm thinking of basing it off a Keihin, slide and jet wise. When I have too much free time on my hands to sit and think, this is what results.

Give it try, why not? Personally, I think it would be pretty cool to see some one come up with a fuel injection or tbi for a 500.

Why re-invent the wheel? Your not going to improve on what Keihin or Mikuni have done.
You should put your effort into making a float bowl for the Keihin, with externally adjustable "clickers" instead of fixed jets to set up the mixture.
That would make you a millionaire.

Now that you mention it, that would be pretty sweet. And in the 10 minutes I've thought about it, I have an idea for that.

Has anyone ever tried one of these Tempa Flows, they are specific to snowmobiles but couldn't they adapt to a single carb situation
