I have a buddy that us having a financial situation and his car is broke down. He came to me and said he would trade his car for anything that would take him to work and back. I told him about my old s-10 that I have kept around for a backup vehicle and he wants to trade. He has a 94 z28 camaro that has a bad vibration in the motor. He has bought a new flywheel and balancer and neither have fixed it. I have an 86 s10 2wd that he wants to trade to now. My little truck runs and he wants $300 boot. Do you guys think it would be a good trade? Any ideas about what may be wrong with it? The car is an automatic and runs 12.20 in the 1/4 with a 125 shot of oxide. That was with the prior motor and he has since sold the oxide setup trying to fix the vibration on the newer motor. I posted on a local car board and they think the motor needs to go to a machine shop to be balanced and I agree. I thought I would post here too though. Feedback please....

Be more specific. It could be as simple as a motor mount or tranny mount. Try disconnecting the driveshaft and see if it still vibes bad. 93/94 F bodies had a driveshaft balance problem.

It still has the vibration without the Transmission on it. The flywheel waves hard enough to hit the block.

A good diagnostic starting point at least.
