My truck sits like a "Stink-Bug", and dosent ride like Iwant, so I made some changes.... Heres where I got some shocks... good price and service...
http://www.norcaltruck.com/shop/product ... 209deb8f17

Bilstein [BE5-D146-H0 & BE5-D147-H0]
So, I installed the shocks, and a 2" drop shackle kit in the rear...
( Ground Force Part # 91143 )

Nice mod, Truck sits level without cranking up the front "A" arms and topping out the suspension.

Truck rides way better, but to be fair I found that I had a dead shock at the R/R location, no damping what-so-ever.

The front suspension needs to sit at mid -stroke to work. If its topped out, you have effectivly eliminated all rebound.

You lower the rear....

I did a 2 1/2" front lift on my f-150 to clear the 33's and didn't have any problems, of coarse, that truck uses a macfearson strut and I just had to put a spacer on top of it. the ball joints could still go all the way down, so I guess it did'nt really have a negative effect.

I cranked up the torsion bars on mine and the shocks topped out before the suspension did. I was going to get the Bilstein's but I cheaped out and made my own shock extenders. I can stick my fingers between the the upper control arm and the bump stop, so it's not topped out.

The ride is still OK, but I don't off road at all. If I was going to do some off roading, I would buy Cognito upper control arms, and the Bilstein shocks.

I was surprized when I took the OEM shocks off, the "A" arms dropped another 1.5" or so....

Friggin GM....

The shock part numbers I listed correct this situation.
