30 degrees plus blowing wind over lake michigan = snow......
I hate this state...

No. Are you planning to NOT ride for awhile? Even then, no. In fact, I would be more inclined to NOT drain the carb. I may be completely wrong, but I'm inclined to think that small amounts of gas are more likely to evaporate quickly or turn to varnish than large quantities. The one thing I might do is change the oil to a thinner blend to accommodate the cold, but I doubt it. Just keep it ready to ride. You never know when the opportunity may arise.

It sure can be.
Makes for some pretty boring video though.

When i lived at 7,000 feet (tahoe) we had a cold snap before i changed the coolant ratio. the coolant froze. luckily the only damage was it pushed the base gasket out on the exhaust side and didn't crack anything.
after that, i always drained my coolant before putting the bike away for winter.

Winterizing?
Not here, were just gettin warmed up!
I would at least drain the tank and carb. That way you shouldn't have to clean the pilot jet.

i keep the carb full of pump gas mixed, not race gas. that way theres no scale or crap in the spring, the ones ive left empty turn to varnish
