What if I smooth out this weld...

If this weld is grinded down and smoothed out to look flush with the rest of the frame will it possibly jeopardize any strength in the chassis. I havent seen anyone do that yet and i think it would be sick!

I would not as it would instantly make it a weak point!!!

I wouldnt do it myself,you cant guarantee all these weld have full penetration so I dont like the idea of taking off the reinforcement.It may never fail,but obviously you are increasing the risk.Personally I like the look of an evenly beaded nice ally weld.

A member here has had there bike frame crack at a right angle to that weld in 2 places .
I woulent grind it off.
