Shanman makes motor mounts for 250's...i assume they will work nicely on that 250f...look at this build...it's alisobobs gen 4 or whatever...

Just stay with it, make time for the darn thing. I get busy and then I put mine off. Then the excitement returns and I thrash on it.

Yeah, I know what goes on at the other site. The only luck I had there was bad luck. Ask a technical question and get some BS replies.

This is where the real pros are.
Once you come here you'll never go back.

Post up more pics....I like looking at pictures.

How do you like the Eline electrics????

yup to all of that...

and dude if you haven't welded your bike yet, i would suggest getting the round edged 1'' tubing for your extensions...it's not so sharp, it looks more 'oem' i think...just a suggestion...

You know when I bought my steely in 02 it had a street legal kit on it but never plated. I thought that it was gay so I stripped everything off and threw it away. I regret that now. and put a numberplate back on the front and a mx rear fender. The only parts that i kept were a little box w/two wires? I think that it is the regulator? and the e-line stator. So I have never had a light it after the day that I bought it.
Now though with my AFC I bought a CRF250X headlight assy. I think it will be COOL when I go to the track and tear everyone up with my light on too! hahaha
And no I hav'nt welded it yet I was just waiting till I figured out wht I was going to do with the rads. So I could have it all welded at one time (my friend is doing the tig'n cause I can only weld steel)
I waill post some pics soon Ryan

Put a horn on it too, so you can honk at people. Maybe they'll pull over and let you pass.

By "anywhere" you mean a dozen posts? I see Roostius Maximus had given you the preferred point of contact on 15OCT, just ten hours after your post. 36 hours before you posted this.

look up my gen-4 conversion.

I would angle that motor a lot further forward. I cut into the cradle and insered a solid peice, then hit it with a drum sander. that motor being angled like that is going to make you gas tank even more or a nightmare!
on my bike and marshalls, but angling the motor forward, I was able to keep the stock petcock and just heat gun the tank.
BWT, on the R airbox, the best airboot is a gen-1 125 ('98-'99 cr125) the gen-1 250 works also, but the stock 500 boot is way too short to use a R airbox.
I got the hose routing on marshalls biek to work out well using all the existing stock hosts and a plastic '02-'04 crf450 coolant Y.
goodluck mang!

on my 450 i cut out two notches for the two lowest hanging cover bolts, and tilted it as far as possible, super glad i did that cause like danny said, no tank issue AT ALL...it's close but it's close enough that i didn't have to f with it, and a shorty plug fit perfect

How did you guys make the front motor mounts? Were the bolts into the front cradle ? The way I have the motor now the bolts would be damn near hitting the cradle tubes. I did grind down the weld on the frame were the bottom clucth cover bolt is. Can the motor rest on the frame were that bolt is or will that cause crazy vibs? It is gona vibrate anyways. Check it out

on both of mine the bolt basically touched the frame. on one I used the shanman style mounts, but ground it down a little on the part that goes on top of the frame until I could see inside the hole. on the other conversion, I used some round stock that was drilled, then ground down one side flat until a little of the bolt hole was exposed.
I gave my frame a lot of room on the bottom, I didn't wan't a lot of force being placed on that part of the case.
