"Top end need to be rebuilt" Does that mean it fragged the piston and took out the bottom end too??????

I would assume that is the case, but all I am looking for is a good core to do a FULL rebuild on...
Missed a 90 with new FMF Gnarly and Power core 2, fresh matching shocks/forks (175lb) and strong engine for $1200 here in omaha. Could have parted it, got 1/2 or 2/3rds of my money back plus kept the engine, electronics and gnarly... Missed it by 3 days and he let it go for $1k
