I discovered a hive in a valve box on the side of my home. So I called a bee keeper to remove them. They got smoked out and then vacumed up. And the people saved the honey combs in a box. I got a gang of it to eat, man is it fresh and good.

I have never been in that valve box. There are a bunch of those valve boxes, they are wired for automatic timers, so no need. I was over there trimming bushes when I saw bees coming and going from it. I tried to open it, and it was clear that there was mad amounts of bees in it. So I got the bee folks to come out. I have neighbors that call exterminators for bees, and that's wrong. It also is bad for your house because if the bees die and the honey and wax are left in the attic or whatever, it will melt and rot and make a mess or damage the house. Bees are good for the world and killing them is ignorant because it's just as easy to have an expert remove them and keep them alive. And it's especially important in Ca. where there is a major bee shortage due to the mass malathion sprayings they do.

Honey never goes bad. Simply microwave it if it crystalizes.. Honey was found in the Egyptian pyramids from thousands of years ago, and it was still edible.

Ya but the honey comb will melt and saturate walls, and alot of the honey comb is baby bee larva and that will rot and be a mess. In any case, wouldn't your little girl prefer to see the bees saved? Like I said, it's just as easy to remove them professionally as it is to call Terminex to come out and spray a bunch of poison around your home.
