Oh I do have that TSOL album you pictured Bob, and I just got one of those vinyl to cd players so I can finally put my collection down on cd, and now mp3 with my new iPod. I have a very good collection of vinyl, heavy metal to punk and a small collection of cd's. I have tons of empty cd cases, but after having my old surf rig broken into around 6 times, most of my cd's are gone. Love music, it feeds the soul.

I'm not worthy! Your McIntosh gear will blow my poor little Marantz 2270 out of the water. :D I did add an older 8260 SACD player since that photo was taken, and I've been really impressed with it. I dig the vintage gear, but would love to try a set of Magnepans or similar with my receiver...the Pioneers are nice, however I'm sure something newer would sound better.

What are you runnin' for speakers?

Brit- that era Marantz was solid state, not tube. I do have a nice Laney AOR 50 head with plenty of tube goodness in it, though.

I had some nice Tannoy Lancasters, but in the name of downsizing...I currently have some Paradigm Studio 60's. Half the size ( half the sound... Go figure?)

Your Marantz still rules......

Nice! I'm sure those JBL's loved having power thrown at 'em, too. I was looking for a set of L100's until my Pioneers came along.

I had a set of Bose 601's that were bitchen until I threw a party where shortly after the 3rd time the cops showed up, the foam surrounds were toast! I was a dumb ass and gave them away, when I should have just fixed the surrounds...

cool, jr ain't so good anymore. he was back in the early 80s but he went "nashville". it seems that alot(most) of IIIs fans are old punks. his shows are always a lot of fun. talk about diverse crowds.
