Lets do another "Fun Ride" day.. like we did for Fathers day.
Al Gava ...you reading this?
Bring the kids, wives, everybody welcome.... The hills at the North East side of the lake have some good family riding areas...
I'm having Hellbear pick the date, so no interfering with his exhaustive fishing schedule..
Sometime in September sound good?
September 16th, The SCTA is having speed trials @ El Mirage. Do we want to schedule around this, or have it as part of the day?

I'd say go for it that weekend. Not that I can go that weekend cause its wife vacation starting that week. It doesn't really get crouded cause everyone for that is at the west end of the lake bed. Plus its something to see.

The lake bed is 3X5 miles long, only about 3.5 of it is use plus the sides which is 25 mph by them.
First mile to get up to speed, second mile is timed, third for shut down.
If you got Goolgeearth you can see the strip.

Where?! I know of a little mellow area near the lake bed. And then theres the little bumps or 2'-4' hills on the bed. If you hit any of those fast enough, you're sure to land nose first.

So this is going to be the weekend after Kennedy Meddows?
So the guys that are headed to K/M are not bringing your familys?
So you are bringing the kids & wives here to make up for NOT letting
them be part of your motorcycle riding weekends In the moutains
So this is how you guys plan on getting your family involved into motorcycling taking them to the desert and camping on a lake bed or is this just a 1-day deal.
its all good just ribbing ya

You have to go north and get behind Shadow mountain. It actually makes for a good loop around. 15-20 miles maybe.

My sister, bro-inlaw, my niece, our buddy Tom, and his wife and daughter will be getting out there sometime Saturday afternoon. We got invited to some ride at competitive edge on Saturday so we will be there till we head out to El Mirage. I have no clue where we will be camping at but I assume on the lake bed somewhere or possibly up in the hills somewhere. If your heading out and want to hook up give me a call Larry @ 714-318-0823.

A coworker and his friends will be there. South side of the lake bed, about a mile past the starting line. That way the sun is at your back and you can here them kick it into high gear.
