We welcomed three young children into our home yesterday. We are now fostering three kids 4, 2 yr old girls and a 1-1/2 yr old boy. Wow as our house become a whole new animal in a matter of hours. So far they all seem to be very good kids. This is going to be an adventure for sure.

My parents have 5 foster kids now, hard work but very entertaining and they get decent money for it.

In reality I think they are trying to make up for the shitty upbringing I got.

Raising 5 upstanding citizens doesnt balance out the world......yet.

Maybe 2 more would do it ....

Just got of the phone with my dad and they are down to 4 now, one of the kids stole my mums camera (with all the pics of my visit) and sold it for $10. Mum apparently went sideways so the social services came and picked him up today :o

Thanks guys!

Bummer about the camera Brit! Don't think we will have that problem the oldest is almost 4.

I am sitting here this morning and have realized my life has definitely changed. Normally I would have Speedtv on but there is a 2 yr old girl sitting on my couch and the Wiggles and Higglytown Heroes are on the tube.

WTH!!!!!!!!!!!

It wasn't that tough of a deal.
We are going though an agency called Koinonia. I don't suggest going though the county. We had to do some interviews and our house had to be inspected. They had some things they wanted us to do like touch up paint and repair a small hole in our kitchen vinyl floor. So we went ahead and did some upgrades while we were at it. Once the house passed then all we had to do was a cpr class and a orientation class. If you have a swimming pool then you have to do a water safety course.

If you are really serious I will pm you our phone # and our better halves can talk.
