If you're anal like me and don't like crooked cuts on your hoses, get a pair of PVC cutters from Home Depot. I've cut fuel, vent and coolant hoses with them and they're perfectly straight.
Making a straight cut on hoses
I never tried the straight cut tin snips but, due to mental defect, can't cut straight with linemans pliers or side cutters.ISBB wrote:straight cut tin snips work good too have also used linemans pliers.
The thing I like about the PVC cutters is that the hose is supported on both sides of the blade resulting in a perfect cut. It's also really easy to line the hose up at 90 degrees to the blade.
